After the collapse of Somali government and following civil war caused a total destruction of all social institutions. The impact of the civil strife varies from region to region from clan to clan, but has greatly affected to all Somalia. Armed robbery, rape and displacement were targeted against women and those vulnerable communities and have resulted to reduce their subsistence means up to an extent in which most of them live in an abject poverty.

Hope Foundation for Education And Orphan Care (HFEOC) is a local non-governmental organization (LNGO) was founded in June 2022 in Mogadishu, Somalia as a humanitarian and Orphan care development organization by local Somali intellectuals.

Hope Foundation for Education and Orphan Care (HFEOC) is registered under the Somali Interior Ministry in the Department of Humanitarian Affairs. Subsequent to series of consultative meetings in Mogadishu and outside of Somalia, the founders responded to the urgent need of Somali people and contributed into the emergency humanitarian crisis and development of their country rehabilitation and reconstruction after years of destructive conflicts and successive droughts and famines which led to the total collapse of socio-economic and political institutions.
